Vita Preparatory Academy

Cost should never be the barrier to a great education

At Vita Prep, we believe every child deserves a great education and deserves to feel fulfilled in their life. In service of that belief, we aim to keep costs minimal for all families, using any tools at our disposal to make that happen. We also despise those who would try to “get rich” off of selling education, so we make our financial statements public to all parents in the spirit of transparency. If you ever have questions about where your money is going or are worried you can’t afford tuition, please come talk to us.

Scholarship Opportunities

Scholarships through Step Up for Students

Step up has 3 options for families seeking scholarship funding for non-public education: The FTC/FES-EO, FES-UA, and FTC-PEP. Private schools are not able to accept the FTC-PEP scholarship, as this is reserved only for Homeschool families. Below is a brief recap of the two programs we can accept. For full and official terms and conditions, please refer to the Step Up website.

FTC/FES-EO

The Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) and the Family Empowerment Scholarship for Educational Options (FES-EO)

$8,000 average amount awarded for private school scholarships for the 2024-25 school year. (The 2025-26 award amounts will not be officially determined until after the Governor has signed the budget.)

This scholarship provides funding to approved educational institutions who meet criteria set forth by the State of Florida. Funds for tuition are paid directly to the school on the applying family’s behalf. Parents/Guardians will receive an approval email when funds are distributed (4 times per year) where they can approve the funds to be released to the eligible Private school.

This is the option we recommend for most families

FES-UA

The Family Empowerment Scholarship for Students with Unique Abilities (FES-UA)

Available to students age 3 through grade 12 or age 22, whichever comes first, who have a specific diagnosis

$10,000 average award for an FES-UA scholarship

Funds may be used for tuition and fees for a private school, therapies, tutoring and more

This scholarship gives families with specific needs (ASD, ADHD, Dyslexia, and more) additional funds to pay for things like OT, PT, Speech, behavioral therapy, and more.

Families with a UA scholarship may need additional resources, and the scholarship provides additional funds so we can provide those to your child. If you are already receiving services from a private provider and wish to continue doing so, please let us know so we can prorate your tuition accordingly.
